UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
United Methodist Women is open to all women of the church. You do not need to be a member of the church to belong. We are organized to be in mission and have ministries that we sponsor all over the world. We, in Wisconsin, are very proud that we have two mission places that were started by women. One is Northcott Neighborhood House, which recently celebrated 50 years of service to the Milwaukee area. The other is The Hmong House of Good News, which meets at Central UMC in Milwaukee and works with elderly Hmong.
One of the things we do, as United Methodist Women in the local church, is to help at funerals by serving the meal following the service. If you would like to assist in this ministry, there are many options. We usually need donations of either salads or bars, need help preparing the food for the meal, setting tables and doing dishes afterwards. Many hands make light work, so any help is greatly appreciated. Just call Clarice Rosing, 742-6974 or Dianne Lawton, 742-8888, with your offer of help to this loving ministry.
As United Methodist Women, we thank everyone in our church family for your continued support. Below, see the way you’ve made it possible for us to help others in 2017:
Through giving, UM Women provide for the MISSION OUTREACH of the organization locally and all over the world.
